Calibration

Job Description:
  • Perform Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Level Flow and Differential Pressure Calibration for site equipment and facilities including:
    • Pressure gauges
    • Pressure transmitters
    • Flow Meters
    • Level Transmitters
    • Chart recorders
    • Oil baths
    • Dry wells
    • Refrigerators
    • Freezers
    • Incubators
    • Chillers
    • Small and large scale fermenters
    • Temperature/humidity sensors
    • Water systems
    • Compressed air systems
    • Glove leak testers
    • Water baths
    • Isolators
    • Ovens
  • Perform calibrations on new and existing equipment and instruments in accordance with calibration SOPs and in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's) and with established Safety Standards.
  • Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of calibration records using a computerized maintenance management system (ProCal Software)
  • Write and review technical reports and calibration SOPs according to procedure and users requirements
  • Write and revise guideline procedures to support equipment/instruments calibration and calibration SOPs
  • Knowledgeable of proper gowning procedures for working in clean rooms and Grade B, C areas, live production facilities, mechanical rooms, construction site safety training
  • Ensure proper equipment documentation including Registrations, Commissioning, Decommissioning, and Generating Data Sheets for ProCal Software.
  • Troubleshot technical problems encountered during calibrations and Commissioning
  • Recommended applicable changes to production SOPs with respect to certification and use of equipment or instrument

Job Requirements:  
  • Must hold a B.Sc or B.Eng or another related science
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing equipment and facilities calibration, ideally with strong knowledge of temperature sensors, chart recorders, oil baths, dry wells, pressure gauges  flow meters and pressure transmitters
  • Previous experience using a computerized maintenance management system, ProCal Software is an asset
  • Knowledge of proper gowning procedures and previous experience working in clean rooms or aseptic environments
  • Excellent understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
